Avocados are one of those veggies (although technically a fruit) that seem like they shouldn’t be good for you because they’re so creamy and delicious. So, it’s fantastic news that they’re packed with healthy, monounsaturated fats and tons of micronutrients. That makes them the perfect ingredient for silky, buttery dips and toppings.
What Should You Pair With Avocado Mayo Dip?
One of my favorite things to dip in this unbelievably creamy “mayo” is endive. Endive is a green or pink, slightly bitter leaf with a satisfying snap when you bite into it. That makes it, in my opinion, the perfect partner for rich avocado mayo dip. You can also try avocado mayo with crackers, tortilla chips, or any fresh veggies you like.
Avocado Mayo Dip for Different Diets
If you’re on the keto diet, you’re in luck. This naturally vegan and gluten-free dip is also keto-friendly thanks to high-fat avocados that carry low net carbs. Avocados are also ideal for the paleo diet. In both cases, avoid bread and other high-carb or grain-based snacks for dipping. Veggies and nuts are fine, particularly low-calorie options like cucumber or celery.
